A.  Can Singaporeans travel to Batam now?

Yes. Even greater news, Singaporeans are VISA-FREE (leisure visa) because of 30 day Visa On Arrival (VOA)! Pre-departure ART test is also NOT required.

If you want to shop and travel around the city area, Batam Centre or Harbour Bay would be ideal, due to their close proximity to business and commercial districts.

Batam Centre Ferry Terminal is conveniently located in the heart of Batam City, whereas Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal is located near Nagoya City. Do expect a bit of crowd and queue at immigration due to the high number of ferry trips (as shown in the above schedule), especially at Batam Center Ferry Terminal.

Nongsapura Ferry Terminal is more convenient for travelers looking to relax at resorts as it’s situated near many of the popular resorts such as Turi Beach Resort and Montigo Resort. We’ve suggested nearby attractions and accommodations in the table below to help you plan your itinerary.

E. Which Singapore Ferry Terminal should I choose? Tanah Merah or Harbourfront Centre?

Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal is located in the East, whereas Harbourfront Centre Terminal is situated in the more Southern region of Singapore. There are more ferries departing from Harbourfront Centre (35 ferry trips) as compared to Tanah Merah (10 ferry trips) on a daily basis.
