It is highly recommended you visit Desaru during the months of April until October and the peak travel period is between June to August. During these months, there will be less rainfall and more sunny days perfect for a beach adventure.

Generally Desaru is a safe vacation spot however there are petty crimes such as pick pocketing so please take care of your belongings.

It depends on you but Bintan is famous for Kueh Lapis, Bird Nest, and even some local snacks such as Keropuk. 

There is a ferry to Desaru on every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Presently they only have one time slot to Desaru (8:30am) and back from Desaru (5:30pm).

Ferries from Singapore to Desaru are mainly run Batam Fast Ferry. 

You can refer to their websites for ferry schedules and latest information. 

Boarding the ferry to Desaru would be from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. Returning to Singapore would be boarding the ferry from Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal. 

There are other alternatives to arrive at Desaru but our package uses this route as is it is the fastest and most convenient way. 

Singaporeans do not need visa to enter Malaysia as they are in the visa free list.

Important note: Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months. If not, Malaysia will NOT allow you into the country and your Ferry will NOT let you on the Ferry. Make sure your passport is renewed before you travel to Malaysia.
