FAQs about Bintan

It is highly recommended you visit Bintan during the months of October to early December. The air is cool and dry and there are not yet many tourists (compared to the peak season of late December to early January). The period after school holiday from March to April is also a great time to visit as there are many amusing festivals in and around Bintan.

Bintan is a safe place to be in. Here and there there can be petty crimes such as pick pocketing, so beware of your belongings.

It really depends on how much time you have got. The minimum recommended duration is 3 days while you can stay as long as 1 week to fully enjoy the city. Although Bintan does not seem to have a lot of things to do at first sight, one will have to dig deeper to know the must-dos. From nightly street food scenes to the hidden shopping alleys, and occasional visit to craft village, Bintan may just well be your most special and delightful destination thus far. If you need some suggestion, contact us.

It depends on you but Bintan is famous for Kueh Lapis, Bird Nest, and even some local snacks such as Keropuk.

Ferries from Singapore to Bintan are mainly run by 2 different Ferry companies: Sindo Ferry and Bintan Resort Ferry.

You can refer to their respective websites for ferry schedules. We recommend Bintan Resort Ferries as they have more ferry timing than Sindo Ferry.

Latest information can be found on the Bintan ferry companies’ respective websites.

Most ferries depart from Tanah Merah and arrive at Bandar Bentan Telani Terminal. For our packages, it will mainly be from Tanah Merah to Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry terminal and return from Bandar Bentan Telani to Tanah Merah.

ASEAN Countries (including Singaporeans and Malaysians) are VISA free to Indonesia. This means you need not apply for VISA. There is a list of countries that requires VISA on Arrival of 500,000 Rupiah Cash.

Important note: Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months. If not, Indonesia will NOT allow you into the country and your airline will NOT let you on the plane. Make sure your passport is renewed before you travel to Indonesia.
